Enable / Disable Command prompt (CMD)


Ever Wanted to Customize your Windows by Disabling few Programs like Command Prompt or Batch Files????
In this post I’ll show you that how can you Disable or Enable your Command Prompt or Batch Files…

Open the Run Window either from Start > Run or by pressing the Start+R key of your Keyboard
In the Run Windows type this command: regedit
Click OK or press Enter
Now you will See a White color window naming Registry Editor
************Now Read this Carefully before Attempting************
Locate the HKEY_CURRENT_USER folder in the Registry Editor
Now navigate to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\System
On the Right Hand Side Create a new DWORD Key Naming DisableCMD and set the value to 1 and Click OK…. (1=Disable Command Prompt)
Now Restart your Windows…
You have successfully Disabled your Command Prompt and Batch Files…
Now to Re-Enable the Command Prompt all you need to do is:
Open up Registry Editor from Run Window
Navigate to the same location:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\System
Double Click the DisableCMD Key from the Right Hand Side and change the value form 1 to 0 and then click OK…
Restart your Windows and your Task Manager is Enabled again…
